I'm not frightening... [/i] Mackenzie looked around Olympus, scanning for Zeus's temple. Kleitos had informed her that Zeus was looking for a demigod to assign a quest to. He had told her that he thought she would be "perfect" for the job. How cute. He was sucking up to her. But Mackenzie knew that deep down, even Kleitos was afraid of her. He had seen her fight, and what she could do to people when she was angry. He was no different than the rest of them. Mackenzie put a foot forward and began slowly walking down a path, her eyes fixed forwards. She ignored the stares she got from the lower gods and the naiads. But when she finally found the temple to Zeus, she found that the goddess was not inside. She sighed irritably. She would have to pray for Zeus to get her to come. Gods could be so self-centered sometimes. Mackenzie knelt on one knee in the middle of the empty room and tried to remember the prayer of Zeus.
Goddes of the wind and lightning, hear my cry. Ruler of the gods, and mistress of creation, hear us sigh. As meek and weak and small as I may be, Appear before me in the form I may see. Queen of Olympus, heed my prayer, Look upon me with eyes of gold and a voice of care.
Mackenzie finished, looking up slightly. She sighed again.
By the way, you rock. And P.S., you rule. The gods are awesome, and Titans drool.
Wow. She had almost forgotten that part. ...But you should be very afraid.

~ Z - E - U - S ~Being the queen of the gods since the dawn of time. ————— Zeus sighed, appearing in her own temple promptly. When she appeared in the temple, she paused to spent a split second looking over the child of Hades. She inspected the demigod in a matter of nanoseconds, to fast for even a demigod to register the inspection. "Boreíte na mou klitheí?" She said, responding as was proper in Greek. Was it proper, or just a bad habit? If it was, no one had bothered to tell her. "I hear you come seeking a quest then?" Zeus said. She eyed the demigod, gesturing to a chair that seemed to have not been there a second ago. "Please, sit down. Make yourself comfortable." She wondered if this child had excepted to be feared. She must have lived through a life of expecting to have people be afraid of her. Such a different life, the life of a demigod... Zeus's thoughts flit by in a split second. "Right, well, something of value has been lost to me. It lies somewhere in the mortal world, and it is very important that you bring it back unharmed. Do we understand one another?" She said, staring firmly into the demigods eyes, and waiting for an answer.

I'm not frightening... [/i] Mackenzie eyed Zeus for a moment, standing up. Her dark red eyes flicked over the goddess, who didn't seem in the best of moods at the moment. Not surprising. It was hard to find a god like Zeus ever in a good mood. Perhaps she should have asked for a quest from Poseidon or Apollo...Another thing that didn't surprise Mackenzie was how the room changed when Zeus appeared. When a god's temple is vacant, meaning they are not inside of it, the building automatically shifts to a dark, dull, stone room. But when the god reenters the temple, or a prayer is sent to them, the room dramatically changes. At the moment, Zeus's temple was pure gray marble with golden tapestries and rugs covering the walls and floors. Ancient weavings hung on the back wall near Zeus's throne. The throne itself was about twenty times larger than a regular chair, which was suitable for a god's normal Olympian form. It was made of gold, intricate designs and Ancient Greek scribblings decorating it's surface. It would be breathtaking to any mortal. But as a demigod, Mackenzie had seen better. Χαιρετισμούς, κυρία μου. Mackenzie replied politely, bowing then taking a seat. She crossed her legs and leaned her staff against the back of the chair. She listened lightly to what Zeus was telling her, then nodded. Yes, Ma'am. I will bring the item of question to Olympus. Mackenzie replied obediently. She looked back up at Zeus, her eyes looking a bit fiercer than before. ...But you should be very afraid.
